Two days at a clinic with Brian has been transformational for me and my new equine partner, a troubled but sweet and promising ex racehorse . I am so grateful and will definitely do it again - even if I am fairly hopeless with bits of rope ! Thank you 🙏

I have just spent two days learning how to be a better human for my young horse. Awareness of those small things has such significance in our relationship. Brian has a lot of horsemanship knowledge and insights which he generously shared. This is a path I shall definitely be following to develop myself and my horses.

Had a great session yesterday on one of my young horses with Brian Byrne of Four Oaks Horsemanship. Brian has a fantastic understanding of how the horses brain and body work together. This creates a happy horse and therefore a happy rider with a deeper knowledge of how to unlock the upmost potential out of both horse and rider something i feel is so important in training all our dressage horses from prelim to Grand Prix. Thank you so much to Brian for your help, i look forward to working with you in the future 😀

I felt very lucky to attend a Four Oaks Horsemanship clinic at my friend's yard where Brian worked with her mare. The mare responded beautifully to Brian's calm and relaxed manner. He clearly explained throughout what he was doing and seeing. I learned so much that day. I would highly recommend Four Oaks Horsemanship.

Highly recommend Four oaks! I was lucky enough to attend a clinic by Brian and got to experience first hand his ability to show us some extremely talented horsemanship. Such an open, trusted and relaxed approach, easy to understand and the results spoke for itself. This method really needs to be adopted more into this country. Amazing

2 years ago Brian was recommended to us as my daughter hadn’t been able to ride her cob for almost 3 years, he was ove weight, unwilling and had caused my daughter to lose a lot of confidence. In my mind Brian was a last ditch attempt to get them both back on track. Day 1 and she was back on board and by day 3 it was like those 3 years hadn’t happened..2 years on and we try hard to take part in all Brians clinics here at Willow Moss Farm..each one building on the last, Brian has taught us that good horsemanship allows both the rider and horse to grow both independantly and together, its as much about the person as it is about the horse. We are excited for for the future thankyou Brian

We recently sent our mare away to Brian for 6 weeks to be started. The result of Brian and Lisa's (his student) hard-work is amazing, she is soft, calm and happy in her work. Throughout her stay there we were given updates and when the time came for my husband to work with her we were given plenty of guidance and some tools to help to continue the good work that they had started but more than that he was encouraged to just enjoy her.
I have given Four oaks 5 stars because they really put the horse first and it's also a fantastic opportunity to evaluate your own skills. Brian is happy to share his knowledge and while we had luath in training we were lucky enough to be able to have sessions with 2 of our horses with Leslie Desmond who was visiting at the time. That experience will stay with me forever. I know that we will continue to have sessions there both with Luath and our own horses.
It has been a great reminder for me that horsemanship is about the journey not just the destination. I'm looking forward to what's ahead.

Just finished my first clinic with Brian, I arrived with a short stepping, choppy mare with little connection and confidence in each other. I left with an over tracking, active partner who I was on the same page with. It was the mental reset I needed and I walked away knowing I had a plan and a set of tools to start developing both my mare and gelding as well as myself. I can't wait to get started and see where we all are by the next clinic. It's amazing when Brian is teaching and you just click with what he is saying. Fantastic!

I just moved to Ireland and was delighted to find Brian and his ranch. After only two lessons I’m already taken by his approach to horsemanship and his style of teaching. You can tell that he is a true horseman, who loves what he is doing and wants to pass on his knowledge in a friendly, safe and relaxed environment. His lessons are very structured (but focussed on the individual) and there is a reason behind everything he teaches, which in turn builds my confidence with horses. Can only highly recommend the Four Oaks to anyone who is interested in learning about horsemanship.

3 October 2016 · I had my first assessment with Brian at Four Oaks last week and I really enjoyed it and I believe my horse did too! ☺️ He was very good with my horse and clearly explained well what he was doing and why he was doing it so I knew exactly what was going on and could replicate it at home. I've never seen my horse as relaxed as she was at the end of the session! And on top of that the facilities are top class and well kept looks brand new and the session is Very affordable. I'll definitely be going back again soon! Thanks so much for your help and hope to continue asking for your help for a long time to come! Thank you!

Your self-awareness and focus must improve as you learn from Brian. He is always aware of what you are doing and at hand to give advice . 21 August 2016 · Amazing place. Brian is very knowledgeable and charismatic. I have known him for a few years now and I'm still impressed with his engagement into horsemanship. Brian has been studying horse`s behaviour and he is able to pass the knowledge to his students. Every rider should attend at least one of his clinic to understand his/her horse better. Highly recommended

9 August 2016 · Thanks Brian for yet another excellent clinic on the weekend -- always so helpful to see a range of horses and riders, all with different stories and areas to work on. The mix of horse-centric, focused ground work and riding as always gives lots to think about and work on. I especially like this approach of understanding and addressing the reason for problems, not just suppressing them.

28 July 2016 · Had a chance to watch Brian today. After hearing so much about his methods and being slightly sceptical I have to say I was not disappointed. His calm nature and clear directions turned a horse that could be easily panicked into one that was calm and attentive. He even got her to accept a rider for the first time in her life.

6 January 2016 · Elaine taught me in loading my horse into a trailer. It was difficult, but Elaine never was impatient or upset. The more nervous my horse, the calmer Elaine. Last week I loaded my horse alone for the first time. It only took 30 seconds without stress or pressure. This was incredible!
Elaine has also a magic touch for young horses. She organizes the training with a logical system for humans an horses.
I like her kind of training really much and I hope to learn more soon. Furthermore I hope to meet Brian in Germany this year!

22 November 2015 · Taking time now to reflect back on my 7 days spent over this Summer with Brian at Willow Moss centre. Firstly I can't believe it's only been 7 days - the learning I have from it feels more like 7 weeks worth. Brian is patient, but always there to push you into your learning zone, while setting you up to carry on and learn in between sessions.
I can't begin to describe the difference in my horse since starting this journey with Brian, and I am sure myself too. I certainly smile more :-) Small things like my horse offering me his feet to pick out wouldn't mean much to most people but from where we came from this is huge and reflects a total change in attitude.
Though competitive results aren't important for me over having a trusting and willing relationship with my horse I can see a great difference in our performance at TREC this year culminating with 9th at the GB Championships and 13th overall in the League in the UK. ALL this is a result of the leaning and practise I have had with Brian. Thank you.
Looking forward to many more days of fun and learning in 2016, and I promise to practise and be consistent while we patiently wait ;-)

19 August 2015 · Hi to all
It only feels like yesterday that I arrived at Four Oaks to start my year as a Working Student.
Many of my friends who had just finished their A- Levels with me, travelled to Australia, Africa, Italy, the USA to be Au Pairs or to Work and Travel. But if you ask them what they did most, it’s party. That’s why ‘normal’ people can’t really understand why I prefer mucking out in typical Irish weather (is it dry or wet rain today ?!) or getting covered in horse hair, or risking getting bucked off a colt to gather experience and become a better Horseman.
Becoming a Horseman is a never-ending process; it’s my own decision to take this path. It`s a lifestyle which takes dedication and hard work. It helps I was aware of this but it’s easy to overlook things if you are not aware about being particular.
At the start I am sure I must have wrecked Brians head a couple of times with my approach to learning but he reassured me that wasn’t the case and that he just wanted me to improve, and I wanted to improve myself. I really learned that your Inner attitude is what counts most.
I learned so much over the year not just about horses but about people, myself and how to be successful in what I’m doing. Not only did my horsemanship improve massively over the year but I feel more confident about myself and therefore better prepared for the future. Brian not only gave me the chance to ride his very own horses and train little Aka myself but also the opportunity to ride and handle all the colts and horses with problems that arrived for training.
Apart from that several opportunities arose which I would have never expected. Attending the first ever Buck Brannaman clinic in the UK is definitely not what you expect when you’re applying at a Horsemanship Centre, based in a little Irish village called Longwood. Taking part in several clinics with Ricky Quinn, Leslie Desmond, Ryan Rose and Marike van der Meer was also unexpected, exciting and extremely helpful and informative. It always was so much fun that I will never forget it!
I met so many wonderful people and amazing horses and every one of you made my experience a bit better each time.
Thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality it was a pleasure meeting all of you.
But the most important thing is the fact that I feel I became part of the most heart-warming and supporting Irish family that exists and increase my family in this way.
Therefore the biggest and most important thank you goes to Brian, Debbie and Kaeden who made my year most enjoyable and absolutely fantastic.
I’m so glad it worked out the way it did, otherwise I would have missed something outstanding. Now it’s time to say goodbye and I’m truly sad about it but very happy to have had the experience.
I’m surely coming over to visit regularly and I hope our paths will cross again.
Take care of yourselves and enjoy the ride!
All the best,
Elaine xxx

30 June 2015 · Worked with Brian and Keash Equestrian to bring together a group for tuition for a day, many of whom were new to these horsemanship concepts. Brian was extremely professional and clear in his teaching and has excellent people as well as horse skills. His assistant Elaine was also very helpful and always on hand. Wonderful day - hopefully to be repeated on an on-going basis. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

24 May 2015 · I attended a group clinic with Brian in Athlone today and I really didn't know what to expect from it. I'm a nervous rider, having lost my confidence and was experiencing problems with my mare as a result.
Brian worked wonders with us today - he really helps you understand the issues you are having, gives you the skills to work through them and then gives you praise for it ! The result is after 1 session I feel more confident and my mare is much calmer. I'm looking forward to putting his advice into practice going forward and to working with him again. 24 May 2015 · Brian is a superb horseman. He has helped me overcome problems with my horse and pony. He got me riding my thoroughbred mare in just a head collar when I had no confidence to even sit up on her and has helped my green pony ride quietly in a group and lift his back feet. 1 May 2015 · Thank you very much for having Molly and I to stay. It was incredible what was achieved in just 3 days and I have come away with so much enthusiasm and confidence to carry forward. Brain you have a real talent for teaching and inspiring others to improve.
We really enjoyed our stay and the facilities on site are great. Please also thank your wife and Elaine as well.
I would recommend anyone who has a problem or even just nurses some doubts about the way they are progressing with their horse to go and give it a try, and I guarantee that you will learn so much and really unwind in the peace and quiet of the atmosphere.
The local area is lovely too with some really nice restaurants and some lively traditional pubs.

21 April 2015 · How can I sum up what an life changing, eye opening experience it has been to meet Brian and his unique ability to connect with horses? My horse was being quite challenging and difficult in a number of areas over a sustained period of time and nothing I tried seemed to work so some serious decisions were required before she hurt someone. She is very talented and well bred mare but just didn't want to co-operate with people and preferred to be with horses. I tried everything I knew from calmers, different bits, different types of feed, hard work, in hand work etc but nothing was giving consistent results. I was advised to contact Brian to get his advice. I was sceptical at first as I expected him to try the the usual "take no nonsense from her and force her to do X" which had been tried so many times and failed spectacularly. Having seen the improvement in one session with Brian in my own yard, I made the decision to send her for a week to Four Oaks and the improvement in her in that one week is mind blowing, one of the best decisions I have ever made. A week ago she was challenging and suspicious of everyone and everything. This week she is calm willing and co-operative so much so that I was able to ride her in a clinic in a rope halter with 5 other horses, not something I would ever have considered possible before let alone actually do it. An osteo who worked on her during her last day in Four Oaks described her as a really sweet and kind mare and was able to massage her head and back in way that no-one would have attempted a week ago. Brian has a unique, firm, considerate way of working with horses to achieve harmony between horse and rider. Every horse deserves at least a session with Brian, every rider needs a session.

13 October 2014 · After spectating this weekend at one of Brian's clinics for the first time, I came away feeling as though I'd known him for a great deal longer in some strange way! I learned a lot about better technique and feel and the politeness it should all feel for the horse in just one of the exercises he was demonstrating as a simulation. I admire him for his way of explaining things and making it all so much fun for everybody, which is, in my opinion, essential! He managed to bring two days of sunshine with him in every possible way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a helping hand in their horsemanship journey. I look forward to next time..........with my horse!

3 October 2014 · I brought my 5 year old to Brian in Four Oaks on two seperate occasions. The first was to assess my horse the second to help me and my horse as a unit.
I was a bit sceptical at first but particularly after the second session i could see it really works..even the smallest change made a huge difference to my horse and the way Brian teaches, he explains the hows and whys clearly and keeps things simple so you feel its something you could learn to do yourself!
I knew I'd made a lot of mistakes and had glossed over them until they became unmanageable..my horse has issues with his mouth from rough hands and being held in a strong contact from a very young age and was so tense in himself had started bucking and rearing under saddle.....he is now starting to relax and lower his head even when in a bridle and is softening and yielding better to pressure there`s a lot more to do but I'm delighted with the difference in such a short space of time :-)

17 September 2014 · Very, very grateful that Bryan Brian Byrne of Four Oaks came to the wild west to help me with loading my horse into a box. This was my first hands on experience with this way of working with my horse and my only regret is that I didn't meet him years ago! He is a genuine, intelligent and kind trainer that breaks things down into easy to understand language and demonstrations. He worked methodically and patiently to show my horse that he can walk into and out of a box on his own and live to tell the tale :) He also gave me great practical advice on easy things that I can do to help increase my horses confidence and build our relationship. Very much looking forward to putting these ideas into practice now :)

31 August 2014 · Had my very first horsemanship lesson with Brian Byrne yesterday. Wow, just amazing. So hard to put into words all that you learn. He started with the theory of horsemanship and how horses think and explained it in a very easy to learn kind of manner. Brian gave us a structured program to start us on our way to developing a partnership with our horse and then put all his words into action. The best part of it the change in my horse, a few simple changes and she went from being unconfident and nervy to calm and quiet and willing. So nice for her. I can't wait for round 2. Thank you so much Brian!

23 July 2014 · We had Brian over to help us with a horse that would not load. It took what seemed a long time, but Brian was extremely patient and eventually the mare wanted to go in the box on her own, without any bribes or feed. She was lacking in confidence but by the end of it she had the confidence to go in on her own. He also looked at another horse who we thought had no loading issue`s but how wrong were we, he was nearly worse than the mare. He taught us skills to help the horse go into the box. I now have a horse that does`nt want to come out of the box, he is quite happy to stay in there now. Brian gave us great training and ideas and taught us to be patient. We all really have so much to learn and we think Brian is the one to teach us how to help horses. He has a great personality, brilliant horseman, Brian is just what this country needs ,thanks Brian for all your help Roy and Lorraine

13 July 2014 · A true 5 star rating for a 5 star venue and tutor ( and mentor). I would highly recommend Brian and 4 Oaks centre. I've recently completed a 3 day experience with pure 121 time from morning till night with Brian and his horses.
Such a privilege watching him work and also have constant tuition. The experience days help you towards your goals, learn new strategies, refine the basics to advance to the difficult techniques or horses.
Brian doesn't just teach you though, the experience enables you to put it all into practice for hours and hours with a keen watchful eye there to correct but allow you to improve yourself.
I have learned more in 3 days than I have all year trying to teach myself and with Brian as my mentor he has now set me up to learn successfully so it's now for me to keep practicing and make a difference to my relationship with my horse.
I could've stayed there with his horses as I just had so much fun. Learning what It feels like to have a horse so light you just think and they do, willingly and in harmony.
It's a long winded review as I'm just home and still procrastinating and trying to take it all in and write my plan for my horse.
Thank you so much Brian for such an amazing experience and for sharing your wisdom with me. Jess :)

1 July 2014 · I have a notorious non loader. We've tried every method and hundreds of pounds in excellent professional help. I've spent many, many hours practising loading with this horse. It all worked for a while but then he'd revert. I was desperate and ready to just give up. I've just had two lessons with Brian - one in the basics and one with the trailer. My mind is blown. I could have saved so much time, money and effort if I'd done this 10 years ago! This is the first time anyone has told me WHY we were having these problems. The horse is now loading and loading CALMLY. He is HAPPY in the trailer. But it's not just that - the loading problem was a symptom of his lack of confidence and my lack of leadership. Brian has given me the skills not only to load the horse but also to transform our whole relationship for the better - which is safer for me! I can recommend Brian as a calm, friendly, professional problem solver and teacher. No ego, no waffle and no fuss.

11 June 2014 · Brian was very good to myself, Peter and Andrew when, having seen his stand at Equus Live, we asked him to take us for a week of work experience. We didn't really know what to expect. We brought along our Games ponies with us, and by the end of the week I was able to ride bridleless, gallop down the arena and stop instantly by simply breathing out. We were all extremely impressed with what Brian managed to achieve with us in just a few days.
However, having left after a week on such a massive high, it was inevitable that our expectations at home were going to be sky high. While I continued to ride Blondie in a halter (taken for granted at this stage!) and continued with 'the plan' I soon realised how unanswered questions I had in my head. At the time we had just been given a green 5yr old mare. I had an idea in my head of what to do with her and how to go about training her, but in practice I found it a lot more difficult. I knew what the right thing was, I just didn't know how to put it into practice. I found this quite frustrating. Soon we sent this mare to Brian for a week to sort out a few issues and Brian cleared up a few of the questions I had.
Around Easter when Brian had a sore back he asked me to come over and help him to back a very sceptical black and white cob in exchange for some lessons with one of my ponies. I had never seen a pony being broken before so it was a whole new experience for me.
It took a lot of work to make the cob anywhere near rideable. He was just so sceptical about everything. One time when I took my hand off the rein to scratch my nose he bolted off down the arena. Eventually we managed to make the horse feel some way confident walking over a tarpaulin and with confident with things appearing in the corner of his eyes. It also took a long time to teach him to stand still and not panic while mounting and dismounting.
I think it was good that the first horse I was ever involved in breaking was as difficult as he was. Having seen the way Brian approached starting this cob I would never start another horse using any methods other than horsemanship. Everything is so simple, yet it makes such a difference. The approach of trying to expose this cob to as many potential scary things as possible was so necessary. It really opened my eyes.
At the end of May and the beginning of June I came back to Brian for two separate weeks my other games pony. Jaffa. Jaffa had been doing games for 10 months and had come along way in that space of time without pushing her, but I felt that, although she had physical weaknesses, she didn't seem very interested or motivated at competitions. She was happy enough to go through the motions. I really didn't know how Brian would go about changing this.
However it soon proved very simple. By breaking each individual problem down we were able to come up with different solutions. This is what Brian calls 'the ingredients.`
For the problem of motivation the answer followed a simple theme: reward the horse when they're forward. For Jaffa this reward came in the form of a rest. This progressed from getting a nice forward walk to become the norm, to getting her to gallop off my seat and energy. This was very difficult beforehand.
Brian also gave me exercises such as figure of 8's in which I am to reward her when she turns tight around the obstacle. This is all so simple and makes so much sense, but it isn't easy to come up with these ideas yourself.
Some of the most important things I have learnt are that horses don't think like humans and that it is essential give the horse those extra few seconds to think about things. In the long term it makes all the difference. Horses do what you ask them to do, not necessarily what you want them to do.
For myself I have learnt that I really need to concentrate on developing positive habits and keeping a strong upper focus, as my ponies will feed off of that.,
i really think that Brian has a lot to offer any horse owner out there, be they experiencing problems or not. He is very professional in the way he goes about things and easy to deal with. He has changed my way of thinking.

11 June 2014 · A full 5* and if we could have given 6 we would :-)
Brian has helped us tremendously last weekend with our two 8 year old Clydesdales. We got them when they were just over a year old (Unhandled but that, we found out too late). Being novices with horses, we got off on the wrong foot and for 7 years we were struggling. Putting on a halter and having the farrier trim their feet was almost as far as we got. Luckily somebody mentioned Brian, and he was willing to help us, and our big boys. It was a busy, emotional weekend, with me touching my horse all over for the first time. I even did some work "at liberty".
We are not there yet, but we are now on the right track. Brian gave us the confidence, and the structure to work with our horses and build a two way relationship with them.

5 June 2014 · Watched Brian at a clinic this weekend and must say was very impressed. He had the horses calm in no time and knew exactly what each horse needed to get there. Not only is he a good teacher but also took the time to explain things more clearly and do simulations after the clinic. A very good horseman.

3 June 2014 · I went to Brian's clinic in Yorkshire last weekend as a spectator. It was very inspiring to see how much progress all the participants made in such a short time. Will definitely be taking my horse next time he's here. He created a really fun atmosphere and included all of us in the learning process.
28.7.14 Well Brian came back and Woody and I had a brilliant 2 days of learning. Lots to process and practise. "Start light so you can end light" even if there has to be an effective Phase 4 in between. Brian is on a real mission to see everyone improve and progress their relationship with their horses. It certainly worked for us. Great to see Woody letting some of that energy out. Thanks for all your help and patience. Really looking forward to next time.

Brian is so approachable and answers questions with patience and clarity. Great fun doing the simulations to get the message across. It was a joy (and amazing) to see how much the owners and their horses learnt over just 2 days. Hugely inspiring. Can't wait to go to another of his clinics with my horse.

2 June 2014 · If everyone could spend just 1% of their horse time with Brian, the horse world would be a far better place for horses and humans. Just 2 days under Brian's tuition and me and my boy have a whole new set of habits that clearly make a huge difference!
Funny, clever, effective, knowledgeable, experienced and particular - you'd have to try VERY hard not to improve, whether you have a real 'problem horse' or a fella who is pretty good but could be so much better. Absolutely recommend anyone to invest in their horsemanship by spending time with Brian. Looking forward to the next dose of Four Oakes Fun!

1 June 2014 · Brian is an amazing and dedicated teacher. I was privileged to have him as an instructor on my 2 week course at Stoneleigh Park, and he made a huge difference to my horse Dillon and I.
Dillon is innately a slow and heavy horse, and very inclined to push on you and your space, and against your leg while riding. He has helped us to overcome this and to establish respect and softness.
His teachings are clear and a lot of fun, and I know some of the biggest lessons will stay with me for a very long time. Thanks Brian!

15 May 2014 · Big massive thanks to Brian Byrne, he came over from Ireland to our yard Willow Moss Farm in Lancashire for 10 days and did a full week restarting, teaching and helping me with my Mare Simmy, Simmy is a rescue ex race horse who has had a tough time in her old life she was abandoned and had a list of problems.....with the help of friends, horsemanship and Brian I have rehabilitated Simmy.
Before Brian came, Simmy was difficult to ride, very braced and unconfident.....Spending a week watching and learning with Brian Simmy is a changed horse, she has accepted the saddle and a western saddle :-) she is soft and her confidence is growing more and more! She now enjoys being ridden.
I've watched Brian with 2 young colts and watched them accept the saddle and rider and it was just amazing.
Thanks so much Brian you`re a fab teacher, you give me and Simmy so much confidence, we can't wait till your back :-)

14 May 2014 · A Big Thank you to Brian who spent a week with my 3yr old gelding Leo, you gave him such a great start, I watched how he progressed and grew in confidence, from accepting rider weight to a western saddle. I promise to stick to the plan and I know he will be great.
I loved my first ride on him, he was so light and his hind quarter yields were amazing, I took him for a hack when I got him home and I was so impressed with his confidence, he was forward going and was so interested, passing a tractor and a few cars, the sheep startled him but he just turned and faced them, he gave me big yawns and I rubbed his neck telling him what a good boy he is.
Thank you for all your help over the past year with my other horse Darcy, you are a great teacher and you make our courses fun and packed fully of learning.

1 May 2014 · A big thank you to Brian for all your help and work with my "spooky" 21yr old!! With Brians help we have been able to work through simple exercises to help my horse concentrate more on his work and to worry less about what is going on around him at competitions. Cavan Equestrian Centre was always our " bogey" spot to compete at, my horse could never cope with all the noise levels in the indoor. .he would get very anxious and upset and therefore would not perform to the best of his ability. Well yesterday we returned to Cavan and what a transformation, I put into practice all the things Brian had taught me about getting my horse to relax simple exercises, but yet very effective. I had a much more confident and relaxed horse yesterday and therefore I was a much more confident and relaxed rider........and we went on to win our class :-) . Thank you Brian, for all you have taught myself and Freddie and we look forward to continuing to learn from you.

Fantastic!

Thanks a million Brian!

24 May 2015 · Brian is a superb horseman. He has helped me overcome problems with my horse and pony. He got me riding my thoroughbred mare in just a head collar when I had no confidence to even sit up on her and has helped my green pony ride quietly in a group and lift his back feet. I always feel confident after a session with him. He has so much knowledge and I look forward to learning more from him. Thanks for all your help Brian

24 May 2015 · Fantastic day with Brian today when he came to athlone to show a group of us how to gain confidence in ourselves and our horses. After 30 mins I was able to pick up my horses feet for the first time since I got him. I was so delighted with my progress with him in one day that I can't wait for the next time. Fantastic way to spend a sunny Sunday, huge thanks Brian.

Thanks again, Molly and Lyndsay

1 April 2015 · Brian held a workshop in his yard. It was a brilliant day and I got so much out of it, in both the theory end, the demonstration he did on his own horse and the practical learning on our horses. He was a fantastic teacher and definitely gave me a lot to go home and practice with.
I thoroughly look forward to the next bit of learning from Brian.

12 March 2015 · Myself and my 51/2 yr old mare Sioux enjoyed an experience week with Brian at Four Oaks. We had a fabulous time, what I enjoy most about going to Four Oaks is that i get to mix and integrate different theories. I can educate Sioux and myself with horsemanship skills and develop our relationship and this has a huge impact on our day to day riding whether its flat work, hacking in the mountains, show jumping or in hand. We are still working on the plastic bag! We will continue to go to Four Oaks throughout the year so see you soon. Thanks a mil Brian, Debbie and Caden.

28.7.14 Well Brian came back and Woody and I had a brilliant 2 days of learning. Lots to process and practise. "Start light so you can end light" even if there has to be an effective Phase 4 in between. Brian is on a real mission to see everyone improve and progress their relationship with their horses.

Before Brian came, Simmy was difficult to ride, very braced and unconfident.....Spending a week watching and learning with Brian Simmy is a changed horse, she has accepted the saddle and a western saddle :-) she is soft and her confidence is growing more and more! She now enjoys being ridden.
